The app checks release metadata.
OpenWithGuard may check compatible release metadata after startup and while the app is running. A failed check does not interrupt protection or download anything.
App updates
How OpenWithGuard updates.
The app may check update metadata automatically. Downloads and installation always begin with your click.
Step two
You choose to download and verify.
When a compatible release is available, select the update control once. That first click downloads and verifies the installer; OpenWithGuard does not silently or background-download it.
Step three
You choose when to install.
After the download is ready, select the update control again to start installation. Nothing installs until that second click.
