Guide 02

Protect common file categories with one application.

Choose Images, Archives, Audio, Video, PDF, Word, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Web pages, CAD drawings, 3D models, or E-books, click one application, and that category is protected immediately. For an uncommon format, add one extension such as .abc in Advanced.

Step 1

Choose a quick category

Open the association protection page and choose Images, Archives, Audio, Video, PDF, Word, Spreadsheets, Presentations, Web pages, CAD drawings, 3D models, or E-books. The app already knows the common extensions in each category, so you do not need to identify them yourself.

Step 2

Click an application

Choose one registered application, or use Choose another app to select an executable. Clicking the app applies the category immediately. The choice takes effect immediately; there is no separate Save step.

Choose the real application

Do not select an installer or an unrelated helper executable.

Step 3

Advanced: protect one single extension

For a format outside the quick categories, enter a value such as .abc and click an application. This single extension uses one protection-item slot even if it overlaps a built-in category; an exact custom extension takes priority when both are active.

Step 4

Pause, enable, or remove a protection item

Return to Rules to manage each category or single-extension item. Every category or single extension uses one quota item. Pausing or deleting an item changes file protection only; browser protection has its own independent setting.
